With temperatures now in the 100′s, it’s time we create activities in water or indoors. Unfortunately we cannot host our Art Walk in a pool, so we are be bringing it inside!
The third Friday Art Walk will be held at Gangplank in Chandler (260 South Arizona Avenue) on Friday, June 21st, 6-10p.m. Gangplank is just south of the Art Walk is normally located. Gangplank is across the street from the Circle K on the corner of Arizona and Frye Road.
Although being inside will limit some spaces available, there will still be 30 of your favorite artists, including AZ Cigar Box Guitars and Chaos in Color. There will also be a limited beer and wine bar for guests to the Art Walk, along with Sandy Hathaway creating some musical entertainment for the night. Another feature of the night will be a presentation and participation demo called “Drawing is Easy: It’s not art, so relax” by Jeremie Lederman of Lederman Studios. You will learn about the world behind art and drawing from his professional experience and how you can that applies for you individually. The presentation will from 7-8p.m. and attendees will check in at the blue ‘DC’ table to be shown where the class is held.
If you’re worries about parking, don’t be! There will be plenty of parking across the street from Gangplank in the public parking structure, which is number 10 on the map.
